Born in Gainesville, Ga., USA, 1971
My career path includes writing for three newspapers, mechanical drafting and steel detailing, attending a few colleges, working as a barista, and in the home improvement retail industry. The broad spectrum of people and events that I have encountered during this work life has given me a perspective that not many have.
I often find that my mind can at any given moment contemplate the meaning of the line, “O grace abounding, through which I presumed to set my eyes on the Eternal Light so long that I spent all my sight on it… in the universe, seems separate, scattered: substances, accidents, and dispositions as if conjoined-in such a way that what I tell is only rudimentary," [Dante, Canto XXXIII, Paradiso] then, switch to pondering the origin of a star cluster in the Universe and its astrological relationship to another. This is not as large a leap as many people think as Dante was considering the same general question.
Art and mathematics are closely related. They are two ends of the same arc that almost form a complete circle. What completes the circle...is imagination.
